The wine is bright in the glass, with refreshing aromas of musk and violets. The palate displays hints of papaya and fresh lime, and has a crisp, delicate finish. A refreshing drink on a hot Summer’s day – try it with smoked salmon or Thai beef salad.

The 2018 Vintage Season:
Spring brought some welcome rain which continued through till early Summer. From late December through to harvest there was very little rain, which restricted bunch weights. Selective hand-picking of bunches were used to ensure that only the best quality grapes were harvested.
All grapes were estate grown, sourced from north-west facing slopes of the Dowd’s Lane vineyard. The vines are unirrigated and very low yielding, at around 1.2 tonne to the acre. They are cane-pruned by hand and wrapped to a single wire trellis to encourage some bunch shading during the heat of Summer.
The fruit was harvested by hand, and then destemmed and crushed. The crushed grapes were left to soak on skins for approximately 3 hours, until the correct colour was achieved, and then the juice was pumped off for fermentation without skins. The wine was aged for 4 months prior to bottling.
